ELD updates

Working groups

The ELD Secretariat is now working on formally contracting working group leaders and making resources available for each working group.

Working groups are to contribute to a common final report targeting scientific communities and provide content for the reports to political decision makers and to the private sector. Further tasks involve examination of case studies, assessment of existing data and methodology, and identification of both successful economic valuation of options and pathways for policy-outreach.

Interim report

A collaborative multi-author interim report will be released by June 2013 by request of the ELD partners. This report is meant to be a tool to be used for internal and external communication describing ELD, its activities, vision, targets and approach.

This interim report will include description of existing case studies of interest to each of the target audiences.  A draft 'shell' including existing ELD material should be circulated by the ELD Secretariat soon with a request for contributions and participation to turn this 'shell' into the interim report.

Calls for proposals (deadline March 31st, 2013)

The ELD Partners will establish mid-April 2013 a process for review of the submitted proposals and allocation of funds. Successful proposals will be notified and funds released as soon as possible after this date.

Please note that submitted proposals should involve at least one institutional partner. Funding will be granted through a lead institute who will then distribute funds as agreed amongst case study partners.
